Touch down in Vancouver

So, here we are in Vancouver - our bicycles survived the flight and we survived the five hours in a hostel room it took to put them back together again! We’ve been enjoying the sights and sounds of this stunning city for the last couple of days – Stanley Park, Kits Beach and English Bay to name a few – and we’re almost ready to get involved in some food and farming projects. We’re super excited and very happy to be here, yet also sad to have said farewell to our family and friends. Before we get properly on the move we want to say a massive thanks to everyone we know for their support. We’ve experienced so much help and generosity over the last few months, it has made planning and getting to this point a lot easier, and a more pleasant experience. Muchas gracias a todos!

Congratulations for making it so far so soon! Though I guess the next few thousand miles won’t be quite as easy (though they will of course be lower carbon!)!. I’ve already clearly used too many exclamation marks and so I better go for now (I’m busy negotiating with unhinged landladies). Superb website by the way.

Hi Ned and Charlotte. I am pleased that you and your bikes arrived safely. I’m looking forward to hearing more of your exploits over the coming months.

    Hey, be careful out there…

‘Super excited’…that was a quick transition! :) See if you can track down this young lady Emily Kerr – What’s the first project?

So I have now come out of wedding mania and just realised you are super near my family. I don’t know exactly where they are but they are farmers – and it is organic! And I’m sure they’d let you stay/camp. Will try to get in touch with them – let me know how quickly you are blitzing this bit of your trip. Sorry I didn’t think about it before!!
